ENTRY CRITERIA

Judges will be looking for excellence at all levels – increased profitability,
growth within their market share, innovations which have boosted the business, development into new markets, increased staff levels or improved skill levels which have led to business growth – as well as other relevant business achievements. Other factors such as widespread brand awareness, future growth plans, high levels of staff retention and demonstrable care for employees will also be taken into consideration.
Companies entering this category need to be able to highlight what makes them unique and what examples they have set that other businesses might want to follow.

GENERAL

The judges will make their decisions based on dedication, commitment, proven success and imagination. Financial results will be considered (when given) but will be a secondary factor to those mentioned above.

ELIGIBILITY

All businesses operating within the Sunderland Echo circulation area will be
eligible to enter regardless of size, type of business etc. Employees of
NorthEast Press or any of the associated organisations involved with the event (i.e. judges) are prohibited from entering.
