Professor
David Fleming, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), University
of Sunderland
Professor Fleming was formerly Dean of School of Built
Environment at Northumbria University.
Previous to this he
was employed at Nottingham Trent University as a Senior Lecturer
and Principal Lecturer; and in professional practice and the
commercial sector before that with Bass Leisure PLC, Nottingham,
Jones Lang Wootton, Sydney, and Pannon Pacific Consultants
PTY Ltd, Tokyo.
Professor Fleming is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors.

Mark Barlow, Partner, DKS Architects & Teesside
RIBA representative
Mark graduated from Newcastle University in 1999, having achieved
a BA and BArch with honours, specialising his study in Urban Design,
Computer Aided Management and 3D visualisation.
His experience
has been predominantly in the Residential, Commercial, Educational
and Health Sectors having worked for various practices in the North
East as Project Architect and Team Leader prior to joining DKS
as an associate in 2004 and becoming a Partner in 2007.
Mark has also just recently won a design competition to build the
marketing suite for Middlehaven in TVR’s “North East
Architect Under 40” competition
