The Northumberland Gazette was founded on June 1, 1854, as the Alnwick Mercury. The first issue was of 12 pages and printed 1,000 copies and the only local reference was to Hulne Park. Serving Alnwick, Amble, Rothbury, Seahouses, Wooler and district, the Gazette brings you all the local news, sport, entertainment and much more. The Northumberland Gazette is part of Northeast Press Ltd.
